Paintings From Easton, Wyn - Easton Artworks In Raleigh, NC
It seems like everyone is so busy that they never have the time to enjoy or appreciate what they have. Countless hours are spent trying to get ahead. The thing is once you are in a position that pays well, you are so wrapped-up in the work that you don't have any time of your own to enjoy the rewards of your efforts. That has become my mission. I want to help people to slow down and enjoy some of the beauty that urrounds us.
I'll be outside traveling the countryside looking for those great spots. They may be in the middle of a city or a national park. Wherever I find a scene that looks like I would like to spend some time, I'll set-up my easel and try to bring the essence of that scene home on canvas.

That is the main reason I paint from life. I want to spend some time at the scene to try and take it all in. That is the only way I know to get some feeling of a place to transfer to the canvas. There are also technical reasons. I get much better information from Nature than I do from a photo. You just can't see deep into a shadow in a photo. It's not the technical reasons that compel me to go outside however. It's really the joy of being there and trying to capture the beauty in front of me that keeps me going outside to paint.
I consider it my job to help others see the beauty all around us. Hopefully that is what my paintings say to you. There is beauty everywhere, if we take the time to look for it.
I hope that you enjoy looking at my work as much as I have enjoyed creating it. When you buy one of my paintings, I hope you hang it in a place where you can relax and get lost in it for a while. Wander around the painting and experience some of the beauty and joy I did when I was there. A painting is a story told ithout words. Let them take you away, if just for a little while.
