North Carolina State University

North Carolina State University is the largest of the universities in the University of North Carolina system. Founded in 1887 as a land-grant university, N.C. State is a nationally recognized leader in science and technology with historic strengths in agriculture, textiles and engineering.


With more than 31,000 students and nearly 8,000 faculty and staff, N.C. State offers bachelor’s degrees in 102 fields of study, master’s degrees in 108 fields and doctoral degrees in 60 fields as well as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.
