Randy's Custom Golf Clubs & Repair

Randy's Custom Golf Clubs & Repair owned and operated by Randy Morgan has been in business for three years and specializes in customer service and offering custom fitting to help golfers enjoy the game more.

Located at 115 W. Union St, Morganton, Randy's Custom Golf Chubs & Repair uses the Vector Pro launch monitor to custom fit golfers to the correct loft and shaft for their driver.

Since adding Ping Golf in the shop, Morgan also has added a fitting cart to custom fit golfers for a set of Ping irons.

The store is equipped with Optishot Simulator to allow golfers to choose to play golf indoors and out of the bad weather.

Customers can choose from eight golf courses and up to four players can play at a time.

Morgan said, "I offer the services that a larger store can but in a relaxed, family atmosphere. My customers are not just another person walking thru the door. When it comes to cub repair, I can offer a quick turn around in most cases, same day service.

The store is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday; and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. Spring and summer hours are extended to 7 p.m. on Fridays.

Name-brand products sold at Randy's Custom Golf Clubs & Repair include Taylormade, Ping, Adams, Wilson, Bag Boy and many others.

"When it comes to golf clubs, if it ain't broke, we can fix it and make it better," Morgan says.

A love of the game inspired Morgan to open Randy's Custom Golf Clubs & Repair.

He said, "I love this great game of golf and have always wanted my own business. I especially enjoyed doing my own club repair so I decided to step it up and get more equipment to offer this service to others. I also wanted to attend church regularly and spend more time with my family. Being a business owner allows me that flexibility for family and church lime that is very important to my personal and professional growth."

Morgan runs the store himself with help from his family. His motto for running his business is: Relax, God is in control.

Morgan has been in the golf business for more than 20 years and the golf industry reaches into the generations of his family.

His grandfather was a golf course superintendent and his mother's first job as a child was caddying.

Also, Morgan's uncle Chris Burns is a lifetime member of the PGA. One of his many golf students over the years is Stewart Cink the 2009 British Open Champ, with whom Burns still keeps in close contact.

Both of Morgan's brothers are in the golf business, as well.

Morgan says, "If I need advice on anything in the golf business I can make a phone call to one of my numerous relatives who are golf pros or superintendents. The game of golf has been in my family so long that I guess you could say it is in our blood.’’

Morgan is proud to serve all golfers at all skill levels from the novice to the pro.
