There are many opportunities at Johnson C. Smith University for student involvement. Student organizations, leadership development opportunities, and intramural and recreational games are but a few of the many ways you may get involved at the University.
The college experience is more satisfying and rewarding when you are able to pursue and demonstrate your own interests, talents and skills. Participating in extracurricular activities already challenges your limited schedule. However, by combining academics and other interests, you actually become more disciplined in managing your time. Participation in extracurricular activities also helps you develop and cultivate lifelong leadership skills.

The Office of Student Activities (OSA) is located on the ground level of the University Memorial Union. The office strives to provide programming that develops strong social and leadership skills through extracurricular activities, student employment and program planning opportunities.

The office strives to:
- Enhance the variety of co-curricular activities for Johnson C. Smith students;
- To provide leadership development initiatives for various members of the student body;
- Work closely with student organizations to ensure that students and advisors are aware of the university policies and procedures regarding student organizations;
- Disseminate information about various activities taking place on campus and to serve as a clearinghouse for information about student organizations;and
