Dana Rader grew up playing golf at Mimosa Hills Country Club in Morganton, NC, knowing the game would become an important part of her life. She was good enough to make the men’s golf team at Pfeiffer University, had the skills to make a run at the LPGA tour but she found that her real love for the game centered on teaching.

The Dana Rader Golf School at the Ballantyne Resort in Charlotte is a testimony to 25 years of hard work and a plan that has resulted in the school becoming one of the premier facilities in the country.
She joined Myers Park Country Club in 1980 as an assistant professional, achieving LPGA Class A status in 1984. A group at Myers Park sponsored her run on the LPGA Tour but she says, “I competed for a while but found out I wouldn’t be able to make a living at that. It just wasn’t my heart and passion.”
Private Instruction:
Dana Rader has assembled a team of teaching professionals who make it their mission to be continuous learners and outstanding teachers. Many of the staff are award winning instructors, who have also worked with Dana for many years, and have a consistent approach in both schools and private lessons.
From beginners to single-digit handicappers, they offer a variety of private lesson programs. Your golf instructor will provide a plan and suggest a program that will assist you in achieving your golf goals.
Their programs include:
- One-hour private lessons and semi-private lessons.
- Lesson Series: Four 1-hour lessons with video analysis
- Annual Program:a popular year round program that includes 12 hours of private golf instruction, computerized video analysis and swing library, specific practice plans and practice privileges at the Dana Rader Golf School. Optional rounds of golf at Ballantyne Resort are avalable for a discounted rate.
School Programs:
Each golf school program features highly personalized instruction designed for each golfer's unique needs and skill level. Programs and schools are tailored to enhance the skills of beginners, recreational players and even the most talented single-digit handicappers.
