The two-mile jaunt leaves from the Bland Street Station behind the museum Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sharing the same tracks as the LYNX, service runs from Tremont in South End to Ninth Street in Center City.

In May 1891, electric street cars started running from downtown Charlotte to Dilworth. In 2010, during a reconstruction of East Boulevard, the Dilworth line was uncovered. This spike is from that original East Boulevard rail line, which brought life to the Dilworth suburb.
