They specialize in canoe and kayak camping trips for Scouts, families, friends and corporate groups on the historic and scenic New River, an American Heritage River. Truly a great canoeing, kayaking and tubing river for a child's or beginners first river experience. They are the oldest and friendliest canoeing, tubing, and kayaking outfitter in the area with thirty four years of experience.

Always bring extra cloths and shoes in a dry bag to take down the river and another set to leave in your car in case you turn your canoe or kayak over.

Zaloo's Canoes is located on South Fork of the New River, a National Scenic and Wild River and an American Heritage River. Zaloo's Canoes Kayaks and Tubes is the oldest and friendliest outfitter in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Their ideal riverside location is four miles from Jefferson, NC in Historic Ashe County. They are on the very best stretch of the New River in North Carolina. Thirty one miles of river below us is designated as New River State Park, and a National Scenic and Wild River with three state parks with campgrounds that make for great two to five day canoe and kayak camping trips. They are open seven days a week for canoeing, kayaking and tubing from mid may through mid September. They are open weekends for canoeing and kayaking from mid April through mid May and mid September through mid October. Reservation are highly recommended especially for weekends.
