How To Go:
From Brevard, take U.S. 276 north. Go approximately four miles; U.S. Forest Service Coontree Recreation Area parking lot is on the left.

About the site:
A universally accessible paved path starts in the parking lot and leads to three universally accessible fishing piers along the Davidson River. Facilities include picnic tables, grills and rest rooms. This section of the Davidson River is a Designated Public Mountain Trout Water and managed under a catch-and-release, single-hook, flies-only fishing regulation. A special trout fishing license is required.

Primary Fish Species: Rainbow and brown trout.

How To Go:
From Brevard, take U.S. 64 east about four miles. Turn right on Pleasant Grove Road, cross the river; access area is on the left.

About the site:
Brush has been cleared from the area. A small boat launching facility consisting of concrete steps and a timbered launch ramp have been constructed. A gravel parking area can accommodate several vehicles with trailers.

Primary Fish Species: Muskellunge, smallmouth bass, crappie and sunfish

How To Go:
From Brevard, take U.S. 64 east five miles to Crab Creek Road. Turn right, go 4.5 miles to Dupont /Staton Road. Go 3.2 miles to rail parking on left. A quarter-mile trail leads to Lake Imaging.

About the site:
There is a fishing platform. Area is located on Dupont State Park and is subject to regulations for this specific game land.

Primary Fish Species: Bluegill, brook, brown and rainbow trout.
