How To Go:
From Salisbury, take U.S. 70 west (Statesville Boulevard). Go approximately seven miles; turn left on Hurley School Road. Go 0.7 mi.; park entrance is on the left.

About the Salisbury Parks and Recreation:
The 7.5-acre lake was constructed in August 2001. Channel catfish are stocked and fed monthly from April through September. A universally accessible fishing pier is available. A playground and facilities for soccer, baseball, softball, picnicking, hiking and bird watching are available at the park. Park hours are 8 a.m. until sunset.

Primary Fish Species: Largemouth bass, catfish, redear sunfish and bluegill.

How To Go:
From Asheboro, take N.C. 49 south approximately 24 miles. Cross T uckertown Lake; turn right (west) on S.R. 1578 (Stokes Ferry Road). Go 1.6 mile; turn right on S.R. 2152 (River Road). Go 2.4 miles; parking lot is on the left.

About the Tuckertown Lake, Flat Creek:
Brush has been cleared from a segment of shoreline and placed in the water to attract fish.

Primary Fish Species: Largemouth bass, catfish, carp, white perch, crappie and sunfish.
