How To Go:
From N.C. 11/13, north of the Tar River bridge near Greenville, take Airport Road east. Go 0.3 mile; Airport Road becomes Mumford Road at the traffic light (intersection with Greene Street). Go 0.7 mile on Mumford Road; area is on the right.

About the River Park:
Five ponds totaling 48 acres are available. Shoreline brush has been cleared from several areas around the ponds. Two universally accessible fishing piers are located on the largest pond, which is 15 acres. Restrooms, hiking trails, picnic shelters, paddle boats and canoes and campgrounds are available. Four fish feeders and six PVC fish attractors concentrate the fish. Grass carp have been stocked to control aquatic vegetation. Fishing tackle, including adaptive tackle that is universally accessible, is available for loan for free at the park office. The park is closed on Monday.

Primary Fish Species: Channel catfish are stocked monthly and fed several times daily from April through September in the largest pond.
