How To Go:
From Bryson City, take U.S. 19 west. Go nine miles and turn right on N.C. 28 toward Almond. Just past the Swain-Graham county line, turn right at the Tsali Recreation Area sign. Go about three miles, following the signs to the boating access area. The trail to the fishing area begins at the left of the boating access area parking lot and is marked with signs.

About the Fontana Lake:
Brush has been cleared at each fishing access point along the full pool elevation of the lake. Fish attractors have been placed off each access point. Restrooms and facilities for camping, picnicking, trail biking, horseback riding and hiking are located in the Tsali Recreation Area.

Primary Fish Species: Largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, sunfish, crappie, walleye and catfish.
