How To Go:
From U.S. 64 near Tarboro, take exit 487; go south on N.C. 33. Go 0.2 mile; turn right on Dowens Street (S.R. 1624). Go to the first street; turn right on Bogey Street (S.R. 1625), follow Bogey Street, go past bend in road to the left; proceed along bank of pond.

About the Etheridge Pond, Robert E. Barnhill Sr.:
Pond is approximately 27 acres with a small island in the middle. Bank fishing is allowed around the entire shoreline. A boating fishing pier and a gravel parking lot, with modifications for universal accessibility, are planned. A launching ramp for small boats is adjacent to the parking lot; however, gasoline-powered boat motors are not allowed. Channel catfish are stocked from April through September, and grass carp have been stocked to control vegetation.

Primary Fish Species: Catfish, largemouth bass and sunfish; other fish species may be caught occasionally because of infrequent flooding from the Tar River.

How To Go:
From Tarboro, take exit 485 off U.S. 64-A. Go north on N.C. 111/122 (Western Boulevard) 2.7 miles; park entrance is on the left.

About the Indian Lake CFP:
The 3.5-acre pond has a maximum depth of seven feet with an average depth of three to four feet and an aeration system. A universally accessible parking area is available. Paddleboats, picnic tables with grills, a volleyball court, horseshoe pits, hiking trails, an outdoor drama complex, concession stand and restrooms are available at the park. Channel catfish are stocked and fed regularly April through September. Fishing tackle is available for loan for free. The fishing fee is $1 per day, and the pond is open to fishing from sunrise to sunset April through October.

From U.S. 64, take exit 488; go south on Shiloh Farm Road. Go 0.1 mile; turn left into the entrance to the pond.

About the Newbold Pond, Robert E. Barnhill Sr:
Bank fishing is accessible to all anglers from the shoreline around most of this 53-acre pond. A boating fishing pier and a gravel parking lot with modifications for universal accessibility are located near the entrance to the access area.
