How To Go:
From U.S. 64 east of Pittsboro, take S.R. 1008 north at Wilsonville. Go 1.2 mile; the area is on the right beside the church.

About the B.E. Jordan Reservoir, Bell’s Church:
Several sections of shoreline and access trails have been cleared of brush. A 140-foot, T-shaped fishing pier has been constructed. Fish attractors have been installed, and hardwood trees have been cut and cabled to the shoreline. Two gravel parking lots with security lighting and a universally accessible, paved parking area are available. Poplar Point and Crosswinds state parks are located nearby with facilities for camping, picnicking and restrooms.

Primary Fish Species: Largemouth bass, striped bass, sunfish, crappie, catfish and carp.

B.E. Jordan Reservoir, Rock Quarry Public Fishing Area (PFA), Pittsboro

How To Go:
From Pittsboro, take U.S. 64 east. Go approximately six miles; turn left on S.R. 1716 (Big Woods Road). Go 4.9 miles; the area is on the right.

About the B.E. Jordan Reservoir, Rock Quarry:
Brush has been cleared from several areas of shoreline along a peninsula that projects into the lake. A gravel parking area accommodates approximately 20 cars. Poplar Point and Crosswinds state parks are located nearby.

Primary Fish Species: Largemouth bass, striped bass, sunfish, crappie, catfish and carp.

B.E. Jordan Reservoir, Weaver Creek Public Fishing Area (PFA), Wilsonville

How To Go:
From U.S. 64 east of Pittsboro, take S.R. 1008 south at Wilsonville. Go 3.4 miles; area is on the right past the intersection with S.R. 1972.

About the B.E. Jordan Reservoir, Weaver Creek:
An area of shoreline and an access trail have been cleared of brush. Small boats may be launched, although a ramp for launching large, trailerable boats is not provided. Poplar Point and Crosswinds state parks are located nearby.

Primary Fish Species: Largemouth bass, sunfish, crappie, catfish and carp.
