How To Go:
From the intersection with N.C. 49 north of Burlington, take N.C. 62 north toward Yanceyville. Go 13.4 miles; turn left at the public fishing area sign on a gravel game land road. Go 0.5 mile on the gravel road to the pond (go left at all forks in the road). From Yancey ville, the gravel game land road is the first road to the right past the Caswell Game Land depot.

About the Rabbit Shuffie Pond:
A universally accessible fishing pier and a concrete, handicapped parking pad are available near the dam of this 6-acre pond. An additional gravel parking area and a small, gravel launch ramp suitable for small boats or canoes are adjacent to the pier. Six brush or plastic fish attractors have been placed in the pond, several near the pier. Channel catfish are stocked monthly and fed from April through September. This pond is located on Caswell Game Land, and hunting is allowed subject to the specific regulations for this game land. Other exceptions to the restrictions pertaining to most public fishing areas (including camping) may apply.

Primary Fish Species: Catfish, largemouth bass and sunfish.
