Originating in 1982 as a weaving studio, Carlton Gallery has grown into one of finest galleries in the Southeast. As the largest and most established gallery in the area, they are celebrating over 25 years of business in the High Country. Toni Carlton, a native of the area, selects creations from traditional to contemporary and features the widest variety of fine art and upscale handmade crafts by over 300 artisans. From extraordinary blown glass and wind sculptures to exceptional pottery, jewelry, and paintings they offer something for everyone. As the largest and most established gallery in the area, Carlton Gallery features a spirited collection of artwork in a casually elegant atmosphere. Owner Toni Carlton selects artwork of color, light, and movement intended to celebrate the spectrum of living. The over 300 local, regional, and national artists represented are committed to heartfelt expression of life experience. Established in 1982, Carlton Gallery has an inspiring array of works and exceptional gift ideas in a magical atmosphere for visitors and collectors. Paintings, pottery, jewelry, sculpture, wood, and more. 2006 Spring Exhibition runs June 4-July 15. Mid-Summer Exhibition runs July 23-September 15. Autumn Exhibition runs October 8-November 15. Opening Receptions on Sunday June 5th, July 24th, & October 9th, 2:00-6:00PM. Christmas Open House, November 24, 25 & 26.
