American Classic Motorcycle Museum

An interesting exhibition of over 30 Harley Davidson motorcycles. Coastal Plain League

The Coastal Plain League features 14 teams across North and South Carolina, and Virginia with best baseball action summer has to offer. Caraway Speedway is a 0.455 mile asphalt speedway. Various events are held at the speedway throughout the year. Pisgah historic covered bridge will tell you that this little bridge has an equally as colorful past as its counterpart. In Asheboro, near the NC Zoo, you will find the very pretty, picturesque Pisgah Covered Bridge. There were once 10 such covered bridges in NC. There are only two in North Carolina. This bridge was built in 1911 for the simple purpose of getting folks across the Little River. Today this little treasure is once again welcoming visitors. You will find a picnic area with benches and a handicap accessible fourth-mile walk way though the woods. You can walk down to the stream, which is not deep and has large rocks allowing access from one side to the other. It also offers some amazing picture vantages of both the bridge and on up the stream. It is also a very popular spot for bridal pictures. Sunset Theatre

It was built in the Spanish style that was very popular in Hollywood at that time, with beamed ceilings, stucco walls and an awning with a tile roof. A marquee was added in the early 1930's. A second marquee replaces the first in the early 1940's. The theater continued as a first run facility until the early 1970's.
